Scorpions From Hierakonpolis
Dynasty 0   (~ 3.150 BC)

Several scorpions were found in the "Main Deposit" by the temple at Hierakonpolis. Like the fine relief carved on the lime- stone urn atop. Other materials were ivory and glazed ceramics from clay. Notably carvings on stone vessels showed an arch or bow-like sign (like king "Ka's", but upside down) together with a scorpion, seen at bottom right.
