These two pictures show that little to nothing has happened in the site for more than 100 years.
The pile of rubble thrown over the side at the middle of the long side (in the back) has grown
since the digging wasn't finished when the picture was taken 1901. The big blocks of broken up
brickwork in the foreground are removed, possibly by local farmers to use as building material.
Remarkably the similar shadows tell that both photos are shot round 3 o'clock in the afternoon!
